Sparkle With Dani

This is a really good book to read. It is the story of the authors life so it is written in a simple tone and it is quick to read. This is a great adventure with Cassi going through some bad events and good events. She thinks she has everything all set for her dream life only to find out her long term boyfriend is cheating on her. He then completely removes her from his life overnight, which would not be horrible if she was not so far from her friends and family. Cassi makes a journey of self discovery and realizes her life is so much better with out him! This book will have you feeling better about the terrible situations in your life because you see other people have it just as bad.

Are you all summer ready?

What does summer ready mean to you? Does it mean get in shape? Or maybe it means summer shopping?

To me, it means getting my hands on a pile of great summer books! I’m currently reading The Average Girl by Angelina Goode and so far so good:).

What is everyone else reading?

Of course we all need to look good when we are reading :)! Loving Younique makeup right now. Check out this website for some great deals:

Doing stupid things

I have done some pretty stupid things in my life, which the book Story of a Secret Heart goes into in great detail, but to be very honest I wouldn’t change one thing that has happened. Everything that I did lead me to be the person I am today.

I wouldn’t want to change anything, but I also wouldn’t repeat a lot of it either!

Story of a Secret Heart: Airport run

‘As soon as I texted Ben saying I had landed, he texted back with, ‘I’m at the airport to pick you up. I’ve been here two hours waiting as I didn’t know your flight number.’ My heart immediately sank, since I was obviously in my apartment in my PJ’s watching TV! At that moment in time, I probably should have owned up and just admitted the truth. Nonetheless, once again I did not. What I actually did, was re-pack two suitcases (In a hurry, re-packing those suitcases was an absolute mission, I can tell you now), put my passport back in my handbag (that I very nearly forgot to do and would have given the whole game away if it had still been on the table when I walked back in), got dressed, tidied up the apartment so it looked like no one had been there, and got a taxi all the way back to the airport. When the taxi driver asked me if I was going anywhere nice, I don’t think I have ever laughed so much. He must have thought I was insane.’

Anonymous minus one

I am now officially anonymous minus one! Yesterday lunch time I went to one of my oldest and closest friends house and randomly announced I had written a book! I was shaking like a leaf when I told her, and she looked just as shocked as I thought she would.

But she didn’t laugh in my face, and now I have someone to talk to, so I’m feeling very happy today:)

Being Single

When I turned 30 I was single, alone and heart broken. I started writing as sort of therapy at the time, but after people started reading it and said it was actually very good, I thought maybe others might like to hear my story, and so I published it! Maybe those going through a hard time will take something away from it:)

I post paragraphs of the book (Story of a Secret Heart) on my blog sometimes, but the entire book is available here:

Story of a Secret Heart: Rooftop

When we got up to the rooftop, the view certainly was amazing. You could see the entire city, including the Harbour bridge. As the wind blew my cute little summer dress around, Ben grabbed me and I imagined he was about to kiss me, like in some sort of film scene. He did not kiss me, however. Instead, he very roughly grabbed me by my hair and dragged me to edge of the railing.

I was so shocked I didn’t move.

He then forced me to look down and whispered in my ear in a very threatening voice, ‘If you ever leave me, I will throw you off.’
